Set at a desolate bar in the Bronx, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea chronicles the unlikely connection between self-pitying strangers. Abbott stars as Danny, a laborer who lives with his mom, and Plaza is Roberta, a divorcée with a teenage son. The pair engage in a stand-off over who’s got it worse.
